Step 9: Install the Spool Retainer
by turning it clockwise until it is
finger tight. Do not over tighten.
Step 10: Place a Magnet Strip on
the spool behind the cardboard
retainer.
Gently
remove
the
cardboard retainer taking care
not to shift the rows of wire.
Step 11: Pull the wire and carrier
paper away from the Supply
Spool and hold them both in one
hand. With your free hand install
the Element Shield.
Step 12: While still holding the
carrier paper, use the magnetic
catch to hold the wire.
Step 13: Lift the metal guide on
the Element Shield and slide the
carrier paper between it and the
lower bars. Take care not to twist
the carrier paper as this may lead
to a jam.
Step 14: Attach the end of the
carrier paper to the rewind spool.
Leave 1-2in (2.5-5cm) of excess
and fold that back on top of the
metal clip.
Step 15: Turn the Rewind Spool
clockwise until you have enough
wire to reach the blue wire guide.
(Take care not to pull hard on the
wire.) Place the wire onto the
Element
Sprocket
Assembly.
Step 16: Adjust the position of
the end of the wire with the knob.
The end of the wire should line
up with the edge of the metal
Anvil as shown in the label on the
Knife Cover.
Step 17: Proper installation of
the Supply Spool is shown. The
wire is fed around the Element
Shield Assembly and positioned
properly
on
the
Sprocket Nose Assembly. The
carrier paper is fed through the
Element Shield and the end is
attached to the Rewind Spool.
Once installed properly, rotate
the Rewind Spool clockwise until
the slack portion of the wire
contacts the Flapper below the
Supply Spool.
Step 18: Slide the Element Feeder Drawer back into the machine.
Ensure that the drawer is pushed in fully or the message "Push
Feeder In" will appear on the LCD
Step 19: Close the Element Feeder Door.
