For automatically actuated awnings:
• A minimum gap of 0.4 m to other parts in the area must be maintained when the awning is fully
extended.
• Awnings used in an awning system must maintain a minimum height of 1.8 m.
Incorrectly dimensioned drives and counter bearings can cause the roller shutter system to
be damaged.
• Only use original bearings supplied by the manufacturer. Third-party drives and counter bearings
must be selected in accordance with the torque specifications of the respective tubular motors.
There is a risk of injury through falling when working at heights.
• Take suitable measures to ensure safe working at heights.
• Ensure that ladders or scaffolding stand securely.
There is a risk of short circuiting and fire in the event of direct weather influences to the
unprotected tubular motor.
• The installed tubular motor may never be subjected to direct rain or snow, as this may lead to
life-threatening situations due to short circuiting and damage to the motor.
• Only install the tubular motor in awning systems where the motor is structurally protected from direct
rain or snow.
• If necessary, install a suitable hood for the tubular motor.
ATTENTION! – Inserting the tubular motor forcibly into the winding shaft will cause serious
damage.
• Never knock the tubular motor into the winding shaft with force.
ATTENTION! –
• Ensure that the adapter does not slip off the magnetic ring on the drive head during the installation
process. Otherwise malfunctions may occur.
• The motor must always be pushed fully into the winding shaft. The length compensation or correc-
tion is set with the position of the roller capsule.
ATTENTION! – Drilling and inserting screws in the area of the drive will cause the drive to be
damaged.
• Never drill in the area of the drive or insert screws in order to secure the roller shutter.
ATTENTION! – For motors with a freewheel mechanism (obstacle detection):
Drilling too deeply may break the freewheel mechanism.
• Never drill deeper than 10 mm into the catch.
Screws or rivets that are too long interfere with the freewheel mechanism.
• Do not use screws longer than 10 m.
