Pressure Gauges
Machines are equipped with pressure gauges to ensure the life of the filters. When the
gauge differential reading between the set of gauges becomes 7 – 10 psi – filters need to
be changed.
Water Conditions
The machine has filters but is not equipped with a large sediment chamber. Wastewater
with large amounts of solids will need pre-treating.
Freezing
This machine must be protected from freezing. Refer to the maintenance section of this
manual.
Operating Instructions
Pre Start-Up
The first time the machine is operated, after repairs have been made or if the machine
has set for a period of time (30 days or more), follow these procedures:
Electrical: Connect the machine to an electrically grounded circuit that is fuse or circuit
breaker protected. Do not use any type of adapter. If the correct type of receptacle is not
available, have on installed by a qualified electrician.
Percolation Filter Chamber: Remove any collected debris in the tank.
Percolation Filter Chamber: be sure the drain valve is closed.
Filtered Water : Connect a garden hose up to 50 feet if so desired.
Start-Up
When there is wastewater available to be collected by the MFS turn the rocker switch
to the on position. The MFS has a float activated switch in the sediment tank that will turn
on the pump when water level reaches the correct level. This will take a few minutes as
the water has to flow through the filters before it enters the tank.
Observe the filter gauges checking the pressure differences between the inlet and outlet
of the filters.
