Safety Instructions
CAUTION: To be used only by adults or by
children when under strict adult supervision
CAUTION: Sharp blade, do not touch the edge
of the blade
CAUTION: Always operate the guillotine with the
safety guard in place, the safety guard must be
secured to the handle using the retaining bracket
CAUTION: Always lock the blade/handle in the
down, closed position when not in use

This feature helps illuminate the cutting edge.
The 3 x AAA batteries provided should be inserted into
the battery compartment located beneath the guillotine
base.
Fitting the Safety Guard (see fig. 3)
CAUTION: Sharp Blade. Lock blade arm down
with the safety lock before installing the safety
guard.
1. Using a screwdriver loosen the screw in the safety
guard rail next to the handle
2. Position the safety guard as illustrated
3. Tighten the screw to secure the safety guard to the
safety guard rail
4. Using the additional screw provided secure the other
end of the safety guard to the Guillotine

Operating the Guillotine
Do not carry the guillotine by holding onto the cutting
blade arm or handle
Remove staples, paper clips etc before cutting
Do not cut metal film or film containing glass etc.
Do not cut more sheets than the stated sheet capacity
Place the guillotine on a stable, flat surface such as a
table. (see fig. 4)
1. Unlock the blade
2. Lift cutting blade arm into the cutting position. The
EdgeGlow light will illuminate
3. Position the material to be cut under the safety guard
rail. Use the calibrated grid and ruler to ensure a
precise cut.
4. With your left hand, hold the material securely in place
to be sure it remains correctly aligned while cutting.
5. Apply slight pressure on the handle inward towards
the guard, whilst pressing down firmly to cut the
material.
When finished using the guillotine, always place the
cutting arm in the down position and secure the blade
safety lock.
Maintenance
• Guillotines can be cleaned with a dry lint-free cloth
• Check the fitting of the cutting blade arm and safety
guard from time to time. Do not use the product if the
blade fitting is loose.
• Do not attempt to service or repair the unit yourself
Guarantee
• Within the guarantee period, ACCO Brands Europe
will at its own discretion either repair or replace the
defective machine free of charge. Defects due to
misuse or use for inappropriate purposes are not
covered under the guarantee.
• Proof of date of purchase will be required. Repairs
or alterations made by persons not authorised by
ACCO Brands Europe will invalidate the guarantee.
