• Always disconnect the air supply when changing the
backing pad or abrasive sheet, or adjusting the tool.
• Make sure that the flange and pad combinations cor-
respond to national regulations.
• Make sure that the flange is clean and not damaged.
• Attach the flange with the recommended tightening
torque.
• Attach the locking kit with the recommended tight-
ening torque.
• Do a test-run of the sander in a protected area after
assembly of the backing pad.
• Make sure that the sander works correctly.

Personal protection equipment
Make sure the operators use:
• Eye protection, goggles or a visor.
• Ear protection
• Gloves
• Steel toe-capped shoes
• Protective clothing, such as a leather apron.
• A helmet (for heavier applications)
• Do not use loosely hanging clothing, hair or jew-
ellery (risk of getting caught).

Working area
Make sure that the working area is kept free from other
people so that no one can get injured.
• People nearby must wear hearing and eye protection.
• Make sure that the ventilation and dust extraction
from the premises are sufficient.
• Make sure that there is a stand or a place available to
put the tool safely.

• Work within a sealed-off area, with protective walls
if possible. There is a risk that broken backing pads
fly off.
During work
Stop using the grinder if abnormally loud noises and vibra-
tions occur during use.
The grinder and its accessories must not be modified in any
way.
After the work is finished
Make sure the tool is turned off and has come to a complete
stop before it is put down.
Put down the tool carefully, so that there is no risk that the
tool start by itself.

Do not dismantle the tool.

WARNING Polymer hazard
The vanes in this product contain PTFE (a synthetic flu-
oropolymer). Due to wear, there might be PTFE parti-
cles inside the product. Heated PTFE can produce fumes
which may cause polymer fume fever with flu-like
symptoms, especially when smoking contaminated to-
bacco.
Health and Safety recommendations for PTFE must be
followed when handling vanes and other components:
