NOTE: Gate Posts and Post Hinges are not included in this kit
and must be purchased separately.
NOTE: The final width of the gate frame will be 4" narrower
than the gate opening as measured from the inside of the gate
posts. 2" on each side is required to accommodate for hinges
and fork latch. For drive gate configuration two adjustable
gate kits are required. The final gate configuration will be 6"
narrower than the gate opening. 2" is required on each side and
2" between the gates for drive gate configuration.
Step 1:
FOR SINGLE GATE CONFIGURATION: If the gate posts are not already in-
stalled, then set the gate posts in cement at maximum distance of 72"
as measured from the inside distance between the posts (Figure 1). If
the gate posts are already installed, measure opening dimension, from
the inside of the posts. The distance must be less than or equal to 72".
FOR DRIVE GATE CONFIGURATION: If a drive gate is being installed,
two adjustable gate kits are required. If the gate posts are not already
installed, then set the gate posts in cement at maximum distance of
142" as measured from the inside distance between the posts
(Figure 1). If the gate posts are already installed, measure the opening
dimension, from the inside of the posts. The distance must be less than
or equal to 142".

Step 2:
Once the distance between the gate posts is determined, use the
Reference Chart to determine the width of the horizontal gate frames.
Be sure to use the Reference Chart with your gate model number and
height. If the opening is 72", the horizontal gate frames do not need to
be cut. If the opening is smaller than 72", the horizontal gate frames
will need to be cut to the designated length.

Minimum gate opening for 3283ADJ48 is 30"
For gate openings not represented by the tables, add 1" of horizontal gate
frames length for each additional inch of gate opening. For example, if the
gate opening is 38", cut each horizontal gate frame to 12".
