Preparing for use

APPLIANCE LOCATION
Keep the device away from any hot surfaces. The device should always be used out
of the reach of children and people with reduced psychological, sensory and
mental capacity.
ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE

Pull out the battery drawer at the back of the device and install 2 batteries
(LR6/AA), paying attention to their correct polarity - as marked on the bottom of
the drawer. Push the drawer back into the device. The clock digits will appear on
the display when the batteries are properly installed. If not, verify the correct
installation of the batteries or their state of charge.
PLEASE NOTE: do not use rechargeable batteries for the power supply!
PLEASE NOTE: when the low battery icon flashes on the display (see the picture
below), open the battery drawer and wait approx. 60 seconds until the display
goes out before installing new batteries in the device.
