INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
DIRECT ITEM WEIGHT:
Press POWER/TARE to turn the scale ON.

The display will show '0' (weight of zero); press 'UNIT' to select the desired measure-
ment mode:
– oz (ounces), lbs (pounds), ml (milliliters), g (grams).

Add your item to be weighed onto the scale.
4.
In moments, the scale will show the weight of the object; take care not to touch the food
being weighed or otherwise touch the scale during measurement.
5.
The scale will turn off after approximately 4 minutes of non-use.
TARE WEIGHT / WEIGHT OF FOOD IN BOWL/DISH:
Tare feature allows you to weigh dry or liquid foods in a bowl or dish to determine the
weight of the food only.
Press POWER/TARE to turn the scale ON.

Add the EMPTY bowl or dish onto the scale; allow the dish's weight to appear on the
screen; press TARE to reset the reading to ZERO.

Add the food to be weighed to the container.
5.
In moments, the scale will show the weight of the food, not including the weight of the
bowl or dish container.

The scale will turn off after approximately 4 minutes of non-use.
DETERMINING KCALORIE / CARB OF FOOD:

Follow the preceeding steps to determine the food weight.
While the weight is showing, press the > < to scroll through the food options. The

display will show a solid triangle pointing at the type of food selected, ie. Sugar, Butter,
Egg.

The kcalorie and carbohydrate content will alternately show on the display screen.
4.
Calorie estimate is based on raw foods and is an estimate. Some foods may have
differing calories, for example, Skim/Fat-free milk has less calories than other varieties
of milk.
5.
The scale will turn off after approximately 4 minutes of non-use.
