NOTE: The declared vibration total value(s) has been
measured in accordance with a standard test method
and may be used for comparing one tool with another.
NOTE: The declared vibration total value(s) may also
be used in a preliminary assessment of e posure.
WARNING:
The vibration emission during
actual use of the power tool can di er from the
declared value(s) depending on the w ays in w hich
the tool is used especially w hat kind of w orkpiece
is processed.
WARNING:
Be sure to identify safety mea-
sures to protect the operator that are based on an
estimation of exposure in the actual conditions of
use (taking account of all parts of the operating
cycle such as the times w hen the tool is s w itched
o and when it is running idle in addition to the
trigger time).

SAFETY WARNINGS
General pow er tool safety w arnings
WARNING:
Read all safety w arnings, instruc-
tions, illustrations and speci cations provided
w ith this po w er tool. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, re and/or
serious injury.
Save all w arnings and instruc-
tions for future reference.
The term power tool in the warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
Compact cut o safety warnings
The guard provided w ith the tool must be
1.
securely attached to the po w er tool and
positioned for maximum safety, so the least
amount of w heel is exposed to w ards the oper-
ator. Position yourself and bystanders a w ay
from the plane of the rotating w heel. The guard
helps to protect operator from broken wheel frag-
ments and accidental contact with wheel.
2.
Use only bonded reinforced or diamond cut-o
w heels for your po w er tool. Just because an
accessory can be attached to your power tool, it
does not assure safe operation.
3.
The rated speed of the accessory must be at
least equal to the maximum speed marked on
the po w er tool. Accessories running faster than
their rated speed can break and y apart.
.
Wheels must be used only for recommended
applications. For example: do not grind w ith
the side of cut-o wheel. Abrasive cut-o wheels
are intended for peripheral grinding, side forces
applied to these wheels may cause them to
shatter.
Always use undamaged wheel anges that are
5.
of correct diameter for your selected w heel.
Proper wheel anges support the wheel thus
reducing the possibility of wheel breakage.
Do not use w orn do w n reinforced w heels from
6.
larger po w er tools. Wheels intended for a larger
power tool are not suitable for the higher speed of
a smaller tool and may burst.
7 .
The outside diameter and the thickness of your
accessory must be w ithin the capacity rating
of your po w er tool. Incorrectly sized accessories
cannot be ade uately guarded or controlled.
8.
The arbour size of wheels and anges must
properly t the spindle of the power tool.
Wheels and anges with arbour holes that do not
match the mounting hardware of the power tool
will run out of balance, vibrate e cessively and
may cause loss of control.
9.
Do not use damaged w heels. Before each use,
inspect the w heels for chips and cracks. If po w er
tool or w heel is dropped, inspect for damage or
install an undamaged w heel. After inspecting
and installing the w heel, position yourself and
bystanders a w ay from the plane of the rotating
w heel and run the po w er tool at maximum no
load speed for one minute. Damaged wheels will
normally break apart during this test time.
10. Wear personal protective equipment. Al w ays
w ear hearing protection. Depending on
application, use face shield, safety goggles
or safety glasses. As appropriate, w ear dust
mask, gloves and shop apron capable of stop-
ping small abrasive or w orkpiece fragments.
The eye protection must be capable of stopping
ying debris generated by various operations.
The dust mask or respirator must be capable of
ltrating particles generated by your operation.
Prolonged e posure to high intensity noise may
cause hearing loss.
Keep bystanders a safe distance a w ay from
11.
w ork area. Anyone entering the w ork area
must w ear personal protective equipment.
Fragments of workpiece or of a broken wheel may
y away and cause injury beyond immediate area
of operation.
12. Hold the po w er tool by insulated gripping
surfaces only, w hen performing an operation
w here the cutting accessory may contact hid-
den w iring. Cutting accessory contacting a live
wire may make e posed metal parts of the power
tool live and could give the operator an electric
shock.
13. Never lay the po w er tool do w n until the acces-
sory has come to a complete stop. The spinning
wheel may grab the surface and pull the power
tool out of your control.
1 . Do not run the po w er tool w hile carrying it at
your side. Accidental contact with the spinning
accessory could snag your clothing, pulling the
accessory into your body.
