SIMPLE KEY USER GUIDE
*NOTE: This model and year range has multiple FCC IDs associated with it. To find
the correct activation code, review the FCC ID on your original key by looking at
the back of the key or open up the key to find it printed on the circuit board.
Visit CarKeysExpress.com/SimpleKey for the most up-to-date vehicle
compatibility lookup.
STEP 1 (OF 2) KEY ACTIVATION
Follow the steps below to ACTIVATE your new key. Once you have
activated your key, follow STEP 2 (of 2) KEY PAIRING to pair the key to
your vehicle.
1.
First, simultaneously press the LOCK and PANIC buttons on the
remote. The light under the PANIC button will illuminate and stay on.
2.
Using your ACTIVATION CODE found in the chart on page 3, enter the
first digit using the LOCK button, the second digit using the PANIC
button, and the third digit using the UNLOCK button.
For example, KEY CODE 322 is entered by pressing the LOCK
button three (3) times, the PANIC button two (2) times, and then
the UNLOCK button two (2) times.
3.
Now, simultaneously press the LOCK and PANIC buttons on the remote.
a.
The light will now blink back the ACTIVATION CODE you originally
entered. If this does not match, go back to Step 1 to start over.
For example, the indicator light for KEY CODE 322 will blink (3) times,
pause, blink two (2) times, pause, and finally blink two (2) times.
b.
If the light blinks rapidly this indicates an error. Go back to ACTIVATION
step 1 and retry the steps using your ACTIVATION CODE.
NOTE: You may re-enter activation codes anytime before the
key is paired to your vehicle. After the key is paired to your
vehicle, do not attempt to re-enter or change the button code.
This will cause the key to not work.
4.
Move on to STEP 2 (of 2) below to PAIR the key to your vehicle.

STEP 2 (OF 2) KEY PAIRING
NOTE: Instructions have timing requirements. If you wait too long between
steps, your vehicle's computer may time out, requiring you to start over.
Once you begin the pairing procedure, move at a quick and even pace.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Some of the pairing steps require you to turn the inserted key to
Ignition II (ON) position as shown in the figure below. This is the
position before starting the car. (If there are no markings, turn the
key clockwise and stop just short of starting the engine)

Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
Keep the original/already paired key and a new key with cut-blade
with you.
Proceed with the vehicle in PARK and the engine OFF.
Make sure to locate your vehicle's OBD port/diagnostic connector
before you start. (It can be found in your owner's manual). It is
generally located under the dash.
Remove the security label from the EZ Installer
The Primary Dial Position process should be used to add a new
key. Use this dial position first. If you receive a 7 beep error early in
the pairing process you have too many keys paired to the vehicle.
Use the Alternate Dial Position process if you receive the 7 beep
error to erase all but one of the original keys. Then, you can add
additional keys using the Primary Dial Position process.
