CLEANING
Before cleaning, always unplug the power cord and allow the kettle to cool down.
Never immerse the kettle, base or power cord in water or any other liquid.
Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the sharp end of the temperature
sensor when cleaning the inside of the device.
Clean the inside of the pourer with a moist sponge and dilute washing-up liquid.
Do not use abrasive detergents or a scouring pad to scrub the inside or outside
coating of the kettle.
Always clean the base with a soft dry cloth.
You can insert the power cord into the cord storage located under the base of the
device.
DESCALING
How often you will need to descale the kettle will depend on the hardness of the water
and the frequency of use.
Descale your kettle regularly in order to keep it running smoothly, to prolong its life and
so as not to spoil the taste of your favourite drinks.
In normal use, we recommend that you descale your kettle every three months (four
times a year or with each season).
Use a commercially available descaling product or follow the recommendations below:
Prepare a mixture with 400 ml of water and 400 ml of white vinegar.
1.
Pour the mixture into the kettle and bring to a boil.
2.
If the smell of vinegar is unpleasant, you can replace the mix with two teaspoons of
baking soda and one litre of water.
Allow the mixture to soak for at least 30 minutes.
3.
Dispose of the mixture in the sink.
4.
Fill the kettle with clean water and bring to a boil to remove any vinegar residue.
