• Slide the opening knob (3), open the lid (1) and remove the filter holder (4).
• Be sure that the silicon joint placed at the bottom side of the filter support is correctly placed.

1. Open the filter bag and remove the protective sheet.
2. Insert the filter into a sink with water during some minutes and shake it. Some loose carbon particles may
be released during this process. This is normal and does not affect to the correct filter functioning.
3. Place the filter on the bottom side of the filter holder and press (Fig. A) and turn it clockwise (Fig. B) to
leave correctly fixed.
4. Place the holder with the filter in the jug and poor water. The poured water must not go up over the jug
MAX indication. Discard the filtered water of the two first fillings.
5. After that you can fill the jug. The filter system is ready for using.
• If you have not used the filter during the last 48 hours it is advisable to remove it and shake it inside a recipient
with water.
• It is not necessary remove the lid to fill the jug. Slide the cover (2) and pour water into the jug.
• The timer shows the filter lifetime and advices you when you must change it.
• For the first use of the timer switch on the base (10) to the mains. The display will show 100.
• Maintain pressed the "RESET" button (9) around 5 seconds and release. The timer starts counting.
• Once the days are going on the numbers on the display will be go decreasing, showing the filter lifetime. After 6 days
the display will show 80. Once passed another 6 days the display will show 60, then 40, 20 to finish with "0". When
"0" is showed on the display, it will flash and you must change the filter.
• Once changed the filter you must renew the timer following the previous steps.
• Do not connect the appliance to the mains without checking that the voltage on the rating plate is the same
that the one you have at home.
• Ensure the plug has an adequate earth base.
• The kettle works with electricity only. Do not place it on fire or on other heater sources.
• Never connect without the water level being over the minimum level, and not going over the maximum level
of the water level indicator.
• If the kettle is too full, the water may splash when it boils.
• Do not use any other liquid or additive than water in the jug.
• VERY IMPORTANT:
- Never immerse the jug and the base in water or other liquids.
- Never open the lid when the water is boiling.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• The outer parts of the jug get hot. Use the handle to manipulate.
• The kettle must only be used with the base provided.
• Disconnect from the mains before removing it from its base.
• Always use with the lid on. Otherwise, the automatic disconnection system, when the water boils, will not
work and the water will continue to boil until it evaporates completely.
• Before using kettle for the first time, make it work only with water a couple of times to clean out
completely.
• This appliance has being designed for domestic use only.
• If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an Authorised Service Centre.
• Open the lid (1) moving the knob (3) to the handle direction or slide the filling lid (2) and pour water into the jug.
• Bear in mind that the water level must be between the minimum (MIN.) level and the maximum (MAX.) level shown
on the jug.
• Close the lid.
• Place the jug on the base (10).
• Plug the appliance to the mains and press the on switch (6) to the I position.
