5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
5.1 PREPARATION
5.1.1. CHANGING THE BATTERIES
Change the batteries whenever the image on the screen is unclear and the word "LO" appears on
the display.
1. Remove the cover to the battery compartment (g) located in the scales.
2. Replace the AAA type batteries. Check the batteries are correctly in place in accordance with the
diagram in Figure 3.
3. Close the cover to the compartment correctly.
Note: If the scale is not going to be used for a long period of time, it is advisable to remove the
batteries from the unit before storage.
5.1.2. OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
Be sure to place the scales on a firm horizontal surface in order to avoid damage to the equipment
and to ensure the accuracy of the readings.
5.2 USING THE SCALES
1. Press the "ON/OFF" button (f) to turn the scales on. All the display (d) items will appear for a few
seconds.
2. Press the "Weight Unit" button (b) when "0.000" appears on the screen to set the weight to "kg",
"lb", "oz" or "g". The option you have selected will appear on the display (d).
3. The scale is now ready for use.
4. The Tare function enables you to remove the weight of accessories such as towels to prevent
registering a false reading when weighing your baby in this manner. You should first weigh these
objects and then press the Tare button (e). The word "TARE" will appear on the display and only what
is placed on the scales from then on will be weighed.
5. Place the baby on the scales when "0.000" (kg/lb/oz/g) appears on the screen.
6. The definitive weight will be registered on the display when the word "HOLD" appears. The scales
