3.1 Intended use

WARNING
The HV measurement cable has to be used exclusively for electrical measurements for a
voltage up to a maximum of 1000 V RMS or, respectively, 1500 V DC.
The anticipated measuring current must not exceed 5 A. Any other use is prohibited and will
be considered not in accordance with the intended use. The manufacturer will not assume
any liability for damages resulting from the foregoing. The risk will be borne by the owner or
operating company alone.
4. Conditions of use
• The HV measurement cable must not be used outdoors.
• During operation, the HV measurement cable must be visible without any restrictions.
• Route the HV measurement cable so as to avoid creating any tripping hazard.
• Protect the HV measurement cable against any mechanical damage.
• Do not use the cable unless indoors and within a temperature range between -5°C and +70°C.
5. Cabling
Three phases to artificial star voltage measurement:
In a three-phase system, the phase to artificial star voltage measurement method is commonly used.
• When using a GN310B or GN311B input card, the fitting star adapter is 3PH-STR-1K0-CAT2.
• When using a GN610B or GN611B input card, the fitting star adapter is G068.
Required connections for GN310B or GN311B input cards (the 3PH-STR-1K0-CAT2 adapter is shown):
1. Connect the brown, grey and black shrouded banana plugs on KAB2139 to the artificial star adapter.
2. Connect the KAB2139 yellow shrouded banana plug (using the LD-024-1001712 adapter) to the system
chassis ground terminal.
