Info:
To ensure that heat is
distributed evenly through
the water in the water jug,
the kettle automatically
switches off and back
on again several times
between 70°C and 95°C. A
slight clicking sound can be
heard as this happens.
Switching the appliance
off
Manually:
• Press any temperature
button. The LED stops
flashing and the kettle stops
heating the water.
Automatically:
The kettle switches off auto
matically in the following
situations:
– if the water jug is
removed from the base
– when the target tempera
ture is reached
– if there is not enough
water in the water jug
(boildry protection)
Adjusting the temperature
You can adjust the target
temperature while the kettle
is in the process of heating
water.
• To adjust the tempera
ture, first turn off the kettle
and then press the relevant
temperature button.
Info:
If you select a lower tem
perature, the water may
need to cool down. In this
case, the process may take
longer.
Boildry protection
If the water jug is empty or
not filled up to the minimum
fill level when the kettle is
switched on, all four LEDs
will flash and the kettle will
immediately switch off auto
matically. Follow the steps
below to ensure that the
kettle is ready for use again:
• Allow the kettle to cool
down for a few minutes.
• Fill the water jug (3) with
clear water.
Note the minimum and
maximum water levels
(marked with "min." and
"max." on the water level
indicator (5)).
• Close the lid.
• Place the water jug on the
base and press the required
temperature button (4.1
4.4). The LED on the active
temperature button starts
to flash and the kettle heats
the water.
CLEANING
Clean your kettle regularly
to avoid limescale buildup.
CAUTION, risk of burns:
Always allow the kettle to
cool down before cleaning.
• Unplug the power cord (1)
from the socket by pulling
on the plug.
• Wipe down the base (2)
and water jug (3) with a
damp cloth.
CAUTION, risk of
damage to the kettle:
– Do not use any scour
ing agents, abrasive
cleansers, sponges with
rough surfaces or hard
brushes.
– The kettle is not suit
able for washing in a
dishwasher.
• Wipe the seal (9) on the
lid with a damp cloth to
remove limescale deposits.
Cleaning the limescale
filter
If the limescale filter starts
to clog up, causing the
water to flow out on either
side of the filter during pour
ing, the filter needs to be
cleaned.
Info:
The hardness of the water
in your local area will
determine how often the
limescale filter needs to be
cleaned.
C
Remove the limescale
filter (8).
• Immerse the limescale fil
ter in regular table vinegar.
• Remove any dirt with a
soft nylon brush.
• Rinse the limescale filter
with clear water and place it
back in the kettle.
Descaling the water jug
Descale the water jug if
limescale buildup is visible.
Info:
The hardness of the water
in your local area will deter
mine how often the water
jug needs to be descaled.
