Cleaning and maintenance
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning it.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive products to clean the iron.
Clean it with a damp cloth. Press the "self-cleaning" button
for a deep clean.
Malfunctions and repairs
Should the power cable become faulty, do not attempt to replace
it yourself. The unit must be taken to an authorised repair centre.
Problems and solutions
The iron is emitting an odour or smoke.
The iron will emit an odour when turned on for the first time. The grease used to manufacture
the product must be burnt off; wait ten minutes for the odour to disappear.
The iron is not heating up.
The iron should only be plugged into a mains socket providing a 230 V AC voltage. The
temperature knob should be set to the desired temperature.
The iron is not generating any steam.
The water tank may be empty. Turn the steam knob to disable the function, then add water.
Let the iron heat up, then turn the steam knob to the desired setting.
The steam burst function is not working.
The water tank must be filled to at least ¼ of its maximum capacity and the temperature
knob must be set to the steam position. The iron must be upright. Briefly activate the pump.
Wait a little while between each burst of steam. Be sure to fully press the steam burst button.
The water spray function is not working.
The water tank must be filled to at least ¼ of its maximum capacity. Fill the water tank by
following the instructions provided in the "Filling the water tank" chapter.
The iron is leaking.
The steam function should not be activated until the iron is hot. The temperature setting is
too low to enable steam to be generated. The steam burst function has been used too much;
let the iron heat up again.
