Intended use
The product is intended for use as a waste bin.
Perform only the activities described in this user manual. Any other use constitutes unauthor-
ised misuse. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from it.

Basic safety instructions
• The user must have read and understood this user manual before starting to use the prod-
uct to ensure safe handling.
• Follow all safety instructions! You put yourself and others at risk if you disregard these
instructions. Retain this user manual for future reference and always keep it within easy
reach.
• If you ever sell or pass on the product, please ensure that you also hand over this user
manual.
• The product may only be used if it is in perfect working order. If the product or a part of it is
defective, it must be taken out of service and disposed of properly.
• Do not use the product in potentially explosive spaces or in the vicinity of flammable liquids
or gases!
• Do not use products where the on/off switch does not work properly.
• Make sure that children do not play with the product.
Handling battery-operated products
• Only use batteries approved by the manufacturer.
• Fire hazard! Never charge batteries.
• Keep batteries away from metal objects that could cause a short circuit when not in use.
This would result in a risk of injuries and fire.
• If used incorrectly, liquid may leak from the battery. Battery fluid can cause skin irritation
and burns. Contact must be avoided at all times! In the event of accidental contact, rinse
thoroughly with water. In the event of eye contact, seek medical attention immediately.
Product-specific Safety Instructions
• Do not fill hot waste such as ashes or cigarettes.
• Keep the waste bin away from moisture and water to avoid damage to the electronics.
• Do not place any objects on the cover of the waste bin so as to not block the opening mech-
anism.
• Do not open or close the cover by hand - it is a hands-free waste bin.
• Never expose the waste bin to direct sunlight to avoid damaging the infrared sensor.
