INSTALLATION
Visually inspect the packaging to check it is intact; in the event of any damage or missing parts, please
contact the customer service department or the authorised Harken
The device has been designed and manufactured in compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility
Directive (EMC), however correct installation is necessary to avoid compromising its optimal operation.
In order to guarantee the correct use, place the device in a dry place considering the maximum
possible separation between the various items of electrical and electronic equipment, especially those
dedicated to navigation, in line with the available space.
WARNING! Install the device below deck, in a dry place and protected from the external
environment, in a position where it is possible to check its condition.
Incorrect installation compromises the system functions and can cause injury to
people and damage to property.
WARNING! Install the device in a vertical position as indicated in the figure.
NOTE!
Installation with DSS digital button:
- For less than 2 buttons, the decoder is not necessary (Fig. 1-2-3).
If the decoder is used for less than 2 buttons, refer to the installation manual Dual
Function Control Box available on the web site www.harken.com.
- For 2 or more buttons, the decoder is necessary.
WARNING! The diagrams are to be considered as basic diagrams to be followed when
installing the device. We recommend that you perform an operating test on the ground
before using the winch under load for the correct identification of the operating buttons
for all the winch speeds. If the winch does not operate correctly, check the system
wiring system and if the malfunction persists, contact the Harken
