Reaction bar
Reaction bars are not machines and do not bear CE marking
nor have a Declaration of Conformity. When a reaction bar is
fitted to an assembly power tool, the complete power tool, in-
cluding the reaction bar and any other accessories, shall com-
ply with the Machinery Directive; therefore, it is the power
tool which bears the CE mark and has a Declaration of Con-
formity.

Product specific instructions
General instructions
Operators of products with a torque reaction bar should take
particular care to avoid injuries due to crushing. For safety
reasons – never allow anyone to operate the product unless
trained and thoroughly familiar with how the product works
in different circumstances. The product may only be used to-
gether with the associated torque reaction bar which is
adapted to the screw joint application concerned.
WARNING Reaction bar
To avoid injuries like crushing or shearing:
Check the position of the reverse lever. Accidental

start in an unexpected direction may be harmful due
to the reaction bar.
Never put your hand on or close to the reaction
►
bar while the product is being used.
Operation instructions
• Make sure that the reaction bar is not cracked or dam-
aged in any way.
• Apply the reaction bar, opposite the direction of the
drive of the product, before starting the product.
• Never exceed the maximum torque marked on the reac-
tion bar.
Maintenance instructions
Daily maintenance: Visual inspection of the reaction bar is
recommended. Immediately replace cracked or damaged re-
action bars.
Cutting and welding reduces the lifetime of the reaction bar.
