m) Fence lines powered by separate fence energizers should be installed with
sufficient distance (at least 2 meters) between them to prevent simultaneous
user contact with both fence lines. Simultaneous contact of two fences
powered by separate energizers can be dangerous.

Never connect barbed wire or similar types of fencing to the unit where an
animal or human may become entangled or caught. This carries a risk of death.

Never place your head or neck near a live fence. This accidental contact can
often occur when testing voltage or when installing ground rods.

Never touch or attempt to climb over an operating fence, as this carries a risk

Use extreme caution during installation and make sure that children, animals,

and cleaning fluids.

Wear electrical insulating clothing when installing the unit.

Install an adequate number of warning signs on the live fence so that they are
clearly visible. Unless the law in the area where the equipment is used says
otherwise, the following guidelines should be followed:
• Warning signs should be placed in conspicuous locations on all fences at
intervals not exceeding 10 meters. These signs must face the outside of the
fence.
• Where access to the fence is possible from the inside, warning signs should
be placed on both sides of the fence.

If children are likely to be around the fence, warning signs should also be
placed at a height of 0.8 meters (80cm).
• Where an electric fence crosses a public path, an electrically de-energized
gate shall be installed in the fence.
• All warning signs must be at least 200 mm x 100 mm and painted yellow
with black text.
