5. Installation
To install this harness on your PWC follow the steps:
a.
Remove the seat and covers to get to the engine and ECU compartment.
b.
Disconnect the battery terminals (1).
c.
Disconnect the stock ECU.
d.
Place the FuelTech harness away from heat part like exhaust, safely
attach it to the Hull or engine cold side.
e.
Connect the FuelTech harness to the OEM engine harness.
f.
Decide where your FuelTech ECU will be located and run the FuelTech
harness to it, connect to the back of the FT550.
g.
If not using stock MAP Sensor, then run a provided vacuum hose from
the integrated MAP sensor in the back of the FT550 to the intake manifold
vacuum port (preferably a new exclusive port, but if not possible, use the
oem port for the oem MAP sensor).
h.
Connect the provided USB cable to the back of the FT550 to be able
to connect to your laptop.
i.
Connect the External igniter box to the harness.
l.
If additional sensors and actuators are present, refer to the Extra Input
and Extra Output connectors wiring diagrams.

IMPORTANT
Never split the MAP sensor hose with a Blow off valve
vacuum hose since blow off chamber will affect MAP
sensor reading at deceleration and cause malfunction.
