Read these directions for use carefully before using.
Keep these directions for use where they will be
accessible for all users.
Failure to comply with the directions for use shall
render all warranty conditions null and void and
may lead to personal injury and material damage.
The instrument must only be used by qualified
skilled employees.
Safety instructions before using
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety
instructions of the medium you are sampling.
When sampling hazardous substances, follow
the technical rules on hazardous substances (in
accordance with TRGS – (German) Technical Rules
on Hazardous Substances) – and wear appropriate
protective equipment.
The instrument must only be used within the
confines of applicable material resistance and for its
designated purpose. Any other type of use will affect
the warranty/guarantee.
Do not use any force when operating the instrument.
WARNING!
Damage to the respiratory tract and other organs
due to escaping or outgasing media.
When sampling hazardous substances, follow the
safety data sheet of the medium to be sampled.
Wear the necessary protective clothing.
NOTE!
Before using, the instrument has to be cleaned to
the extent of your (validated) cleaning process.
Pay attention to the material resistance.
Safety instructions during and after use
The instrument is not suitable for continuous
sampling.
Layout and function
The instrument is made of stainless steel
1.4404/1.4571 / AISI 316L/316Ti.
The instrument is suitable for taking small sample
quantities of powders (0.01 ml, 0.05 ml and 0.1 ml).
The maximum insertion depth is 300 mm.
The instrument is maintenance-free and suitable for
steam sterilisation (up to 121 °C).
Parts in contact with medium
Stainless steel 1.4404/AISI 316L
Point out any damage in the packaging to the freight
forwarder/supplier immediately.
Safe sampling
CAUTION!
Moving parts on the instrument. Risk of crushing.
Keep hands well away from moving parts.
CAUTION!
Pointed parts on the instrument. Risk of injury.
Do not pierce the instrument completely through
the container.
Keep persons and body parts out of the danger area.
CAUTION!
Deformation of the sampler.
Do not perform any lever movements.
CAUTION!
Entanglement of the sampler by moving parts in
the sampling area.
Do not use the instrument, if moving parts in the
sampling area are operating.
1. Pierce the instrument into the medium to be sam-
pled up to the desired depth.
2. At the desired depth, extend the inner rod by press-
ing the button.
3. Move the instrument slightly up and down. This fi lls
the sample chamber with the medium to be sampled.
4. Retract the inner rod again.
5. Remove the instrument from the medium to be
sampled.
6. Extend the inner rod and empty the sample into a
suitable collection container.
7. Clean the instrument.
