Installation Instructions
Tools needed: Philips Screwdriver (+)
1) If the bath fan is installed, remove the grille by squeezing the mounting
springs and pulling the grille down from the fan housing. Disconnect the
connectors to remove the grille from the fan housing, as shown in Figure 1.
2) Note the placement of the speakers and how the wires are installed. You
want your installation to look exactly the same when complete.
3) Using a screwdriver, remove the 8 screws holding the speakers in place, as
shown in Figure 2. Retain the screws.
4) Unscrew the 2 screws for the bracket along the wire routing. Removing this
bracket will allow the wires to be removed from the grille. Retain the screws
and bracket for re-installation later. Remove the speakers and attached
wiring.
5) Insert the new speakers into the grille. Align the screw holes. When you insert
the new speakers, the direction of the speakers needs to face the same as
originally installed and noted in step 2 (see Figure 2). This is the best speaker
and wire placement to avoid touching/hitting the housing parts. Reinstall
the screws removed in step 3.
6) Insert the speaker wires into the plastic wire routing clips. Then reinstall the
bracket with the two remaining screws.
7) Depending on your speaker connection type, a converter plug may be
needed. Two converter types are provided, but you may not need to use
both or either if your speakers have no issues connecting to your fan
housing. Determine which converter plug is needed before reattaching the
grille. Attach one end of the converter plug to the speaker wire. Attach the
other end to the fan housing wire.
8) Join the connectors for the Bluetooth
housing to the grille, as shown in Figure 3. Attach the grille by pinching the
mounting springs and inserting them into the narrow rectangular slots in the
fan housing.
9) Turn on the power source. Test the unit.
