6. Press the illuminated ON/OFF switch down to begin. (See Figure 2) The
ON/OFF switch will illuminate as the Gooseneck Kettle heats water.
7. The Kettle can be removed from
the power base at any time.
Lift the illuminated ON/OFF
switch upwards to turn the
Kettle OFF. The ON/OFF switch
will darken.
8. To avoid the formation of
scale, after dispensing boiling
water, empty the Gooseneck
Kettle, rinse and dry.
Auto OFF
1. The Gooseneck Kettle will automatically turn itself OFF when boiling
temperature is reached. The ON/OFF switch will darken.
2. Unplug the power base when not in use and before cleaning.
WARNING:
•
Never lift the Kettle lid when boiling or before pouring water.
•
To avoid personal injury, always use extreme caution when pouring hot
water. Make sure lid is in position. Avoid hot steam emitted from the
Gooseneck Kettle's lid vents during use.
•
Do not touch any Kettle surface during and after use.
Boil-Dry Protection
A safety thermostat will automatically turn the Kettle OFF whenever the Kettle
is without sufficient water, or if the Kettle is allowed to boil dry. To reset
the Boil-Dry Protection device, remove the Kettle from the power base and allow
it to cool for at least 15 - 20 seconds before filling with water and re-starting.
CAUTION: Never add water into heated Kettle.
