7.2
The welding helmet must always be used with an auto-darkening filter, front cover plate, and rear cover plate. Do not
make any modifications to any helmet or filter.
7.3
If the auto-darkening welding helmet fails to switch from light to dark or should unexpected irregularities appear while
welding, the helmet must be replaced immediately. It is extremely important that no object (i.e. a protection hood or a
part of the work piece itself) covers the detectors or any part of the solar cells, and the working distance is not too
large, in order not to impair the functionality of the helmet.
7.4
For complete protection of the face, the helmet must be placed in the lowest position possible.
7.5
The helmet must be checked regularly and any damaged or worn parts replaced immediately.
7.6
In case of malfunction or insufficient vision, replace the auto-darkening filter immediately.
7.7
In case of dirt, damage, or impaired vision, the cover plate or auto-darkening filter must be changed immediately.
7.8
Regular inspection is recommended to check the condition of all components of the welding helmet.
7.9
The helmets and lenses are not suitable for "overhead" welding application, laser welding, or laser cutting applications.
7.10
Welding helmets are designed to protect the eyes and face from sparks, spatter, and harmful radiation under normal
welding conditions. They will not protect against severe impact hazards.
7.11
This helmet will not protect against explosive devices or corrosive liquids. Machine guards or eye splash protection must
be used when these hazards are present.
7.12
Impact resistant, primary eye protection, spectacles or goggles that meet current ANSI Z87 specifications, must be worn
at all times when using this welding helmet.
7.13
Do not use any solvents on any lens or helmets components.
7.14
The recommended operating temperature range for welding lens is 14ºF-149ºF (-10ºC-65ºC). Do not use this device
beyond these temperature limits.
7.15
Failure to follow these warnings and/or failure to follow all of the operating instructions could result in severe personal
injury.
