Mount the «step» safety device on the flexible shaft (1).
Connect the hand piece to the flexible shaft (2).
Remove the retainer (1). Insert the plug into the socket
(various switch elements are possible) and secure with
bracket (2).

Press the main switch (1) of the machine. Pre-select
speed with key «+/-» (2). Start or stop possible via con-
nected switching element.

Press «stop» button.
Speed indicator blinks.
Hold step «on/off» button depressed approx. 3 s. The
blinking of the speed indictor extinguishes.
When changing tools or abrasives the «step»
function is always to be turned off with the «stop»
key.
Disconnect the plug from the socket and refit the retainer.

ing. As countermeasures use smaller tool or increase ro-
tational speed. However, this only in stict observation of
the instructions on the maximum allowed circumferential
speed of the respective tool.

Regularly check connection line. Have defective lines or
connectors replaced. Have repairs done by a technician
only.
Do not spray down with water. Clean surface with lightly
moistened rags.

for l ong gear service life (run without flexibel shaft and
handpiece).

In case of daily use lubricate monthly:
Pull shaft core out of protective tubing. Remove old shaft
grease. Lubricate shaft core with shaft grease only lightly
(1 kg can, order no. 904 832). Replace worn shaft core
(see SUHNER catalogue). Keep hose coupling in clean
- lightly greased condition. Replace worn couplings (see
SUHNER catalogue).

During operation avoid sharp bendings of the flex-
ible shaft. Excessively small bend radius will result
in premature wear. Strong whipping movements

Dry the machine and keep clean in stor-
age.
Keep cooling air openings unclogged.

Store flexible shafts in dry and clean condition.
New or freshly greased shafts require a run-in
time of approx. 1 hour.
