BEFORE USE
Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from the inside
and the outside of the appliance.
Unwind the power cord.
If the appliance is to be used in the middle of the table please make sure
that it is out of the reach of children.
To avoid the appliance overheating never place it in a corner or against a
wall.
Never place your appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table,
tablecloth, varnished furniture...) or on any type of plastic tablecloth.
Always place on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from water
splashes and sources of heat.
When using the appliance for the first time, wash the plates (please refer to
the paragraph "after use") pour a little oil on to the plate and wipe it with a
soft cloth.

PLUGGING IN AND PRE HEATING
Please check that your mains supply is compatible with the power
and the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance.
Only plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
If you have to use an extension lead:
- make sure you choose an extension lead of equivalent diameter
with an earthed socket;
- please take every precaution to ensure that people cannot
become caught up or trip over the extension lead.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote control system.
If the cable for this appliance becomes damaged, it must be
replaced by either the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid any danger.
When the appliance is being used for the first time, there may be a
slight odour and a little smoke; this is normal.
Do not touch the metal parts of the appliance when it is heating or
operating, as they are very hot (Fig. 4).
Never place any cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the
appliance.
Always use a plastic or wooden spatula to avoid damaging the
cooking plate.
