Fitting the grinding disc
7.1 Assembly with the standard
clamping nut
Clean the lower fl ange [3-1] and the clamp-
ing nut [3-3], as well as the clamping sur-
face on the grinder disc.
Place the backing fl ange [3-1] on the grind-
er spindle [1-8].
Fit the grinding disc [3-2]. The backing
fl ange [3-1] must fi t the hole of the grind-
ing disc [3-2] exactly.
Press in the spindle locking button [1-6].
WARNING
Make sure that the grinder spindle is
not turning before pressing the spin-
dle locking button.
Turn the grinding disc [3-2] / grinder spin-
dle [1-8], until the spindle lock [1-6] en-
gages.
Firmly tighten the clamping nut [3-3] using
the wrench [3-5].
Before switching on check that the grinder
disc can rotate freely.
7.2 Assembly with the FASTFIX
quick-action fi xing nut
Some versions of the machine are fi tted
with a FASTFIX quick-action nut, which al-
lows the clamping of the grinding wheel
without using tools (see the notice on the
packaging – FASTFIX). This fi xing nut can
be tightened and loosened by hand only (do
not use any additional fi xing tool!).
The mounting of the grinding wheel is car-
ried out in the same way as in the machine
version without the quick-action fi xing nut
but after pressing the spindle clamp the
quick-action fi xing nut [3-4] can only be
tightened by hand.
WARNING
Do not tighten the quick-action fi xing
nut without the wheel. This might re-
sult in damage to its mechanism.

Activation
WARNING
Before performing any maintenance
work on the tool, always remove the
plug from the electrical mains socket.
Check that the information on the manufac-
turing label complies with the actual power
supply voltage.
Equipment marked with 230 V can also be
connected to 220 V / 240 V.
Check that the plug type is the same as the
socket type.
8.1 Switching on and off
Push the safety lock-off lever [1-2] forwards
to release the On/Off switch lever [1-1].
At the same time, press the on-off switch
lever [1-1] to start the grinder and release
it to stop.
8.2 Continuous use
Push the safety lock-off lever [1-2] forwards
to release the On/Off switch lever [1-1].
At the same time, press the on-off switch
lever [1-1] and push the safety lock-off le-
ver [1-2] forwards.
To turn off continuous operation, press and
release the on-off switch [1-1] again [1-1].
8.3 Control electronics
Increases productivity, life service of the
grinder, comfort at work, as well as quality
and safety of work. Provides the following
functions:
Protection against re-start
If power failure occurs during work (if the
mobile power supply plug is pulled out, if
circuit breaker fails, etc.), and the switch
stays locked in the ON position, the ma-
chine does not turn on automatically once
the power supply recovers. To restart the
grinder, its switch needs to be turned off
fi rst and then turned on again.
Slow start
After the grinder is turned on, control elec-
tronics secures gradual start to operating
rpm, without pointless strokes. This reduc-
es wear of gearing, thus increasing the life
service of the grinder.
