Operation
Warning
Always check the condition of the cables and clamps before using the jump starter.
Do not use if the cables and clamps show any damage.
Warning
The AJUS7 jump starter is designed to jump start machines with a 12 VDC lead-acid battery;
maximum current is 500 A.
Verify that the use of this device is not prohibited by the manufacturer of your car. DO NOT
use it when this is the case.
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
Charging
The internal battery must be fully charged before first use. It must also be recharged after each use
and at least once every month to ensure its availability.
Plug the output plug of the included adaptor into the adaptor input [6] and plug the other end into a
suitable mains outlet (230 V~, 50 Hz).
The red charging LED [5] lights up during charging; when the battery is fully charged, the green LED
[5] lights up. Unplug the power adaptor when charging is completed.
Note: it is also possible to charge the battery via the cigar lighter socket. Plug one end of the
included cable into the lighter socket [3] and the other end into a suitable outlet (max. 13.8 VDC).
To see the battery level at any time, press the status button [1]; the battery level is indicated by 3
LEDs [2].

Jump starting

Remove all connections from the cigar lighter socket [3], USB port [4] or adaptor socket [6].
Turn the current switch [7] anticlockwise.
Turn off the ignition of the vehicle before making any connections.
Connect the positive (red) clamp [8] of the jump starter with the positive pole (+) of the vehicle's
battery. Make sure the clamp is secured tight.
Connect the negative (black) clamp [9] of the battery charger with the negative pole (-) of the
vehicle's battery. Make sure the clamp is secured tight.
When the jump starter beeps and the red connection status LED [7] lights up the clamps are
connected with the wrong polarity. DO NOT switch on the current under this condition as this will
cause serious and irreversible damage to the vehicle. Reconnect the clamps with the right polarity
and make sure the green status LED [7] lights up before proceeding.
Turn the current switch [7] clockwise (ON).
Try to start the vehicle for 3 to 5 seconds. If it does not start, try again for 3 to 5 seconds.
After 2 attempts, stop trying and wait at least 10 minutes for the jump starter to recuperate.
When the engine starts, turn the current switch [7] anticlockwise.
Disconnect the jump starter from the battery, starting with the clamp on the negative pole (black)
and than proceed with the clamp on the positive pole (red).
Return the current cables to their stored position to prevent accidental touching.
Recharge the starter as soon as possible.
