SHARPENER ASSEMBLY
Perform two 8-10 mm holes on the workbench, 85mm
apart from one another and 60mm from the edge of the
workbench.
When installing the sharpener on a workbench, make
sure that the lock wheel (plastic wheel with metal nut
inside) is accessible.
Bolt the unit directly to the workbench with two screws
and nuts (not included).
GRINDING WHEEL'S MOUNTING
Unscrew the two screws on the disc protection.
Remove the protection.
Unscrew the disc clamping nut.
Place the disc on the spindle, centring it on the existing
part in it.
Tighten the plastic nut previously removed.
Mount the protection and secure it with screws.
HOW TO USE
Thoroughly clean the chain you want to sharpen.
Secure the chain in the sliding guides.
Adjust the spacing of the sliding guides in order to have
the minimum clearance for the chain to slide
effortlessly.
Lower the chain stop. This will lock the chain in the
tooth to be sharpened.
Unscrew the fastener of the adjustable base.
Place the base in the angle you want to sharpen and
tighten the fastener.
Adjust the sharpening width adjuster to the value you
want.
Pull the sharpener body in the direction of the chain.
Adjust the depth of tuner to the depth you want to
sharpen. You will only make this operation once at the
beginning of each chain.
Place the handle of the tuner of the sliding guides in
order to easily hold before and release after sharpening
every tooth.
Insert protective goggles.
Connect the sharpening to the electrical current (230V).
Press the switch to the "I".
To start sharpening the first tooth of the chain, gently
press the body of the sharpener against it. Note: For a
good sharpening, the contact between the grinding
wheel and the tooth should be gradual and smooth. Do
not keep the grinding wheel for a long time sharpening
the same tooth.
If you need to make some adjustment, turn off the
machine before.
When you finish sharpening the first tooth of the chain
switch off the machine by pressing the switch to "0".
Position the next tooth to sharpen, proceeding as for
the previous one. Note: the teeth of a chain has two
different directions. Sharpening first all teeth with the
same orientation, sharpening alternately.
When you finish sharpening all teeth with the same
orientation, turn off the machine.
Unscrew the base lock wheel of the adjustable base.
Turn the adjustable base for the orientation of teeth not
sharpened. It is usually the same angle, but in reverse.
Tighten the base lock wheel.
Proceed as above to sharpen the set of teeth.
NOTE: never forget to turn off the machine whenever
you want to make any adjustment.
MAINTENANCE
Keep the sharpener clean from powder and waste
released by its operation.
Check the grinding wheel's condition before each use.
Replace the grinding wheel when it has a diameter less
than 80mm.
