mass drops and it becomes less effective. Moreover, deposits on the bottom of the
storage tank, also due to the wear of the anode, are a fertile ground for colonies of
bacteria.
Considering the above, we have chosen to fit the storage tanks with this active pro-
tection system that eliminates the inconveniences mentioned earlier and provides
greater protection against corrosion for the storage tank and ensures higher quality
for the water in it.

• The Boguard electronic anti-corrosion system must be installed by qualified person-
nel in accordance with current regulations.
• The protection will no longer be effective if heat exchangers not insulated with
enamel or vitrification inside the storage tank are not 100% electrically insulated,
both in relation to the storage tank and the system's pipes, with special dielectric
joints. The protection will become less effective or not effective at all due to the
immersed electric heating elements in electrical continuity with the storage tank's
metal mass. Use an electric tester to carry out the relative checks.
• Before going ahead with the installation of the electronic anode, make sure there no
magnesium anodes in the tank. They must be removed and the tank must be cleared
from any magnesium residues. If possible, place the first electrode at the bottom of
the tank and if there is another electrode place it at the top.
