Digital electronic thermometer
for oral use
Dear customer, thank you for buying
, the digital thermometer for oral use which
is innovative, quick and accurate.
The thermometer's characteristic flexible
probe, with its unique hook-like shape, is easily
and comfortably placed under the tongue to
rapidly measure body temperature from 32.0
°C to 43.0 °C (90 °F - 108 °F).
All PiC Indolor thermometers are produced
using the most advanced technology and
undergo stringent quality control checks, in
accordance with EU legislation, to guarantee
the utmost quality and precision.
Note. Carefully read the instruc-
tions before use and keep for future
reference.
Recommendations
Refrain from drinking hot or cold beverages,
performing physical exercise, taking a bath or
shower or smoking in the 15 minutes before
temperature measurement.
Before the measurement, relax and keep the
mouth closed for five minutes.
Put a new cover on the probe before a mea-
surement, to prevent the spread of germs
and bacteria.
Do not force the probe, as excess pressure
could damage it, making the warranty void.
Body temperature
Body temperature is very subjective and may
change continually over the course of the day
by as much as 1°C. It is advisable to know
your body temperature in normal healthy
conditions, so you can tell if it changes.
Different types of thermometer (rectal, axil-
lary, oral, frontal, auricular) will give different
readings and it is hard to make correlations
which are significant and objectively valid for
each person.
It is therefore entirely normal that body tem-
perature taken orally will be different from
an axillary measurement and it is wrong to
compare the two.
