Care and maintenance
•
If you want to use this motor in salt water, please apply anti-rust oil to all parts exposed to the
water.
•
After use in salt water, please rinse with clean fresh water and dry.
•
Keep the product clean and dry after use.
•
Store the product in its original packaging.
•
The control box may only be opened by a professional engineer.
•
Do not use the motor in water areas with lots of aquatic plants or objects floating around.
•
Never connect the cable to the wrong electrode. The battery must be disconnected during
maintenance.
•
Do not expose the engine to temperatures above60°C.
•
Never stop the engine by hard objects during operation.
•
Remove all dirt and water grass from the engine after use, after 20 hours of operation the
engine must be cleaned.
•
Always disconnect the battery when the motor is being transported or stored to avoid
unwanted damage when the motor is not in the water. For a longer storage period, you
should lightly apply silicone spray to all metal parts.
•
If propeller corners are rough or battered, sand them smooth again with fine sandpaper.
Troubleshooting
1.
Engine does not run or runs too slowly:
a. Check the battery connections for correct polarity.
b. Make sure the terminals are clean and corrosion-free. Use fine sandpaper or polishing
lines to clean the two terminals.
c.
Check the water level of the battery, refill water if necessary.
d. Search the propeller for fishing cords or grass remnants.
2.
Engine power decreases after a short period of operation:
a. Check the battery level, if low, charge to full charge capacity.
3.
Engine is difficult to steer.
a. Release the steering force button on the boom.
b. Grease the shaft.
