4. INSTALLATION
EN
1. Remove the cable from its compartment at the rear of the appliance. Insert the juice collector (4)
into the appliance. To install the pulp container (7), tilt it forwards slightly. Insert the top of the
container first, and then the bottom.
2. Do not empty the pulp container (7) while the appliance is operating. First turn off the appliance,
then gently pull out the pulp container (7).
Note: After emptying the pulp container (7), put it back in place before continuing to use the
appliance.
3. Place the filter (3) in the juice collector (4). Hold the feeding tube (2) above the filter (3), and then
slot it in from the top.
4. Ensure that the filter (3) and the juice collector (4) fit securely on the motor shaft (you should
hear a click).
5. Pass the latch (9) over the feeding tube (2) and lock it in the closed position (you should hear a click).
Insert the pusher (1) in the feeding tube (2), ensuring that the groove is aligned with the protrusion
on the tube wall (2).
6. Close the jug (6) with its lid (5) to avoid splashing; the lid (5) can also be used when storing
juice in the refrigerator.
7. Place the jug (6) beneath the spout (11).
5. USE
The appliance can only be operated if all parts are properly installed and the feeding
tube (2) is locked with the latch (9) (see figure on page 2).
1. Wash the fruit and/or vegetables and cut them into pieces small enough to fit into the feeding
tube (2).
2. Place the jug (6) beneath the spout (11).
3. Turn on the appliance by turning the knob (10) to I (normal speed) or II (high speed). Note that
the appliance can only be operated if the safety mechanism (latch) is properly locked on the
appliance.
-
Speed I is suitable for soft fruit and vegetables (watermelons, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers,
raspberries, etc.).
-
Speed II is suitable for all types of fruit and vegetables. Allow the appliance to run empty for
5 seconds before inserting fruit or vegetables.
4. Place the pre-cut pieces in the feeding tube (2) and press them slowly against the rotating
filter (3) using the pusher (1).
5. Avoid pushing the pusher (1) too hard as you could block the filter (3) and affect the quality of
the juice.
6. Never put your fingers or any other object in the feeding tube (2). Always use the pusher (1) for
this purpose.
7. Once all of the ingredients have been used and the juice has all run out, turn off the appliance
and wait until the filter (3) has come to a complete stop.
Warning! The appliance should not be operated continuously for more than 1 minute,
after which it should be left idle for 1 minute. After three consecutive cycles, allow the
motor to cool for 15 minutes.
TIPS
Preferably use fresh fruit and vegetables, as they are juicier. This appliance is particularly
suitable for pineapples, beetroot, celery, apples, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons,
tomatoes, pomegranates, oranges and grapes.
Fruit does not necessarily need to be peeled, except for thick-skinned fruit (oranges, pineapples,
raw beetroot, etc.). Also remove seeds and stones as they give the juice a bitter taste and can
damage the filter (3) or grater (3).
For apple juice, note that the thickness of the juice depends on the type of apple used. A juicier
apple will give a more liquid juice. Choose a type of apple that matches your preferred juice
texture. Also note that apple juice oxidises very quickly. To slow down the process, add a few
drops of lemon juice.
Starchy fruit (bananas, papayas, avocados, figs, mangoes, etc.) cannot be processed with this
appliance. Use a blender, food processor or hand blender for this type of fruit.
