Lower exhaust muffler: Use soapy water to lubricate exhaust rubber hangers. Using exhaust removal pliers, remove (2) rubber hangers. Note: Be sure to support exhaust before
removing rubber hangers.

Remove bottom appearance panel: Using 7 mm socket and flat head screwdriver, remove (8) screws and (1) rivets from bottom appearance panel on passenger side of vehicle.
Return (2) screws to vehicle owner.

Remove Bolts: Using 19 mm socket, remove (2) M12 bolts from bottom surface of chassis both side of vehicle both sides of vehicle, see Figure 3.
4.
Install hitch: a) Feed (1) carriage bolt ① and (1) spacer ④ through the access hole using the pull wires ⑤ both side of vehicle, see Figure 1. Leave pull wires attached. Raise the
hitch and feed pull wire previously installed through hitch bracket slot. Remove pull wires and loosely install (1) 7/16" conical washer ③ and (1) 7/16" hex nut ② to hitch both
sides. b) Using (3) spacers ⑧⑧⑨, insert between offset bracket tab and mounting surface and loosely secure hitch using (1) M12 bolt ⑥ and (1) 1/2" conical washer ⑦ on
driver side, see Figure 1. c) Using (3) M12 bolts ⑩ and (3) 1/2" conical washers ⑦, loosely install into remaining (3) holes to secure hitch to vehicle.
5.
Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 68 Ft.-Lb (92 N*M).
6.
Tighten all 7/16'' fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Ft.-Lb. (68 N*M).
7.
Trim appearance panel: Using die grinder, trim area shown in Figure 2. Reinstall appearance panel using (6) screws and (1) rivet removed in step 2.
8.
Reinstall the rubber hangers and exhaust muffler.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged
should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for
connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
