REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE
In the event of a fault, malfunction, or damaged power cable, do not attempt to repair the appliance
but apply to qualified personnel. Never try to start up faulty or damaged machines. Only authorised
service centres can carry out repairs of any kind. The manufacturer declines all liability for damage
to property and/or persons that may occur as a result of adaptations, alterations or improvised
repairs, or repairs not carried out by qualified personnel.
CLEANING
Good maintenance of the coffee machine ensures a better performance over time and a longer
life. Turn off the switches and remove the plug from the power socket before performing any
cleaning operations. Never immerse the appliance in water, clean it only with a damp cloth, non-
abrasive detergents, and dry it immediately. The components (grid, drip tray, capsule container
and tank) can be washed by hand with non-abrasive detergents or in the dishwasher at medium
temperature.
REMOVING LIME SCALE
The formation of lime scale is the natural consequence of use of the machine. The frequency with
which scale should be removed depends on the hardness of the water used:
- remove scale every 6 months in the case of soft water (up to 25 f)
- remove scale every 4 months in the case of hard water (over 25 f)

To remove lime scale use a non-toxic or non-harmful descaling product for coffee machines, readily
available on the market. Do not use vinegar, lye, salt or formic acid as they would damage the
machine.
