CAUTION: Keep hydraulic equipment
away from flames and heat. Excessive
heat will soften packings and seals,
resulting in fluid leaks. Heat also weakens hose
materials and packings. For optimum performance
do not expose equipment to temperatures of 65 °C
[150 °F] or higher. Protect hoses and cylinders from
weld spatter.
DANGER: Do not handle pressurized
hoses. Escaping oil under pressure
can penetrate the skin, causing serious
injury. If oil is injected under the skin, see a
doctor immediately.
WARNING: BE SURE SETUP IS STABLE
BEFORE LIFTING LOAD. Cylinders
should be placed on a flat surface that can
support the load. Where applicable, use a
cylinder base for added stability. Do not
weld or otherwise modify the cylinder to attach a
base or other support.
Avoid situations where loads are not
directly centered on the cylinder plunger.
Off-center loads produce considerable
strain on cylinders and plungers. In
addition, the load may slip or fall, causing potentially
dangerous results.
Distribute the load evenly across the entire
saddle surface. Always use a saddle to
protect the plunger.
IMPORTANT: Hydraulic equipment must
only be serviced by a qualified hydraulic
technician. For repair service, contact the
Authorized ENERPAC Service Center in
your area. To protect your warranty, use only
ENERPAC oil.
WARNING: Immediately replace worn or
damaged parts by genuine ENERPAC
parts. Standard grade parts will break
causing personal injury and property
damage. ENERPAC parts are designed to fit properly
and withstand high loads.
3.0 DESCRIPTION
The Enerpac DGR1 has two operating keys. The left
key (SELECT) serves to select the function and the
desired pressure units. The right key (ENTER)
activates the selected function or pressure unit. The
right key is also used to switch between the MAX and
MIN value in both the Mano-mode and Peak-mode.
4.0 GAUGE FUNCTIONS
RESET: When Reset is displayed and selected the
Max./Min value and the Peak value are set to the
actual pressure.
OFF: Turns the instrument off
MANO: When Mano is displayed and selected the
following options become available.
• PEAK OFF: The gauge will measure in standard
mode providing measurements at two (2) times
per second
• PEAK ON: The gauge will measure in fast mode
providing 5000 measurements per second
• ZERO SET: Set a new Zero setting
• ZERO RES: Return to the Zero factory setting
• CONT ON: Deactivates the automatic turn
off function
• CONT OFF: Will activate the automatic turn-off
functions. The instrument will turn off 15 minutes
after the last key function was performed
• Pressure Unit: The last function in the MANO
mode is the Pressure Unit selection that allows
you to choose from bar, mBar/hPa, kPa, Mpa, PSI.
4.1 Activating the Gauge
Your Enerpac gauge has one battery supplied
separately. In order to power your gauge you need to
first install a battery. See section 5.1 (Changing or
adding a Battery) for installation instructions.
Press the SELECT button to activate the gauge. The
gauge displays:
1. The software version (year/week) in four numbers.
2. The full-scale pressure range.
3. The actual pressure at the top and the last
measured MAX value at the bottom.
4.2 Selecting the Pressure Unit
1. Press the SELECT button three (3) times until the
MANO mode appears on the gauge.
2. Press the ENTER button one (1) time to select
functions under the MANO mode.
3. Press the SELECT button again four (4) times
until a single pressure measurement is displayed
at the top.
4. Press the SELECT button again until the pressure
unit you wish to read is displayed.
When the desired pressure unit is displayed press the
ENTER button.
4.3 Setting the Gauge to Zero
Important: Due to different elevations it is important
to set the gauge to zero. To set the gauge to zero
please follow the steps below.
1. Press the SELECT button three (3) times until the
gauge displays MANO.
2. Press the ENTER button — the peak on or peak
off appears.
3. Press the SELECT button and the zero set
appears.
4. Press ENTER and the new zero reference is set.
4.4 Peak On / Peak Off Selections
The PEAK mode changes from reading pressure two
(2) times per second to 5000 times per second.
When the PEAK mode is active, the word peak will
