ATTACHING THE DUCT (FOR OUTDOOR VENTED
INSTALLATIONS)
WARNING: USE OF FLEXIBLE RANGE HOOD DUCTS IS
NOT PERMITTED IN SOME MUNICIPAL JURISDICTIONS .
PLEASE CHECK AND COMPLY WITH YOUR LOCAL
BUILDING CODE .
WARNING: FUEL (GAS) BURNING RANGES MUST BE
VENTED OUTDOORS USING, AT MINIMUM, RIGID METAL
DUCTWORK AND RANGE HOODS OF SUFFICIENT
CAPACITY .
NOTE:
In interior vented installations, air is recirculated through a charcoal
filters and exhausted through the top of the chimney. Skip this step if
you are recirculating the air indoors.
- Attach the vent collar of duct (G) to the damper collar of the
range hood (A) using duct tape . Ensure the damper gates
open and close freely .
- Fully extend duct (G) up to your rigid ductwork or roof/wall
cap, allow at least 1" (25 mm) of overlap, and cut off any
excess duct (G).
- Attach duct (G) to your rigid ductwork or roof/wall cap
using duct tape making sure duct (G) is fully extended and
there is nothing blocking the damper .
INSTALLING THE CHIMNEY
WARNING:
Sharp edges . Wear safety gloves .

Plug the range hood into the grounded electrical outlet and make
sure it is operating correctly before proceeding .

Place the upper chimney (C) inside the lower chimney (B) and
place them both onto the range hood . Hang the lower chimney
(B) on the lower support bracket (F) as shown in figure 9.

Slide the upper chimney (C) upwards and hang it on the upper
chimney support bracket (E) as shown in figure 11.

Secure the chimney extensions to the support brackets with
tapping screws (BB) from both sides as shown in figure 11.
