4. Pull the shaft of the attachment to verify whether it is securely locked into the
coupler. If not, rotate the attachment shaft from side to side in the coupler until it
snaps into place.
5. Tighten the wing knob securely.

REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT FROM THE POWER HEAD
1. Stop the motor and remove the battery pack.
2. Loosen the wing knob.
3. Press the shaft-release button and, with the button depressed, pull or twist the
attachment shaft out of the coupler.
MODIFICATIONS TO THE QUICK-ADJUST FRONT HANDLE
The quick-adjust front handle included with EGO PH1420 power head needs to be
modified for safe use of the power head with this brush cutter attachment.
WARNING:
for the barrier bar. The original quick-release lever will not secure the barrier bar
properly which may result in serious personal injury.
1. Stop the motor and remove the battery pack, if installed.
2. Loosen and remove the original
quick-release lever and wing nut
from the quick-adjust front handle
(Fig. 11a).
