CARE, CLEANING, AND MAINTENANCE
• Be sure the fan control is in the "0" or "OFF" and the fan is unplugged before
cleaning.
• Use only a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior. A can of compressed air or vac-
uum cleaner can be used to clean the inside of the motor.
• Do not immerse the unit in water or allow water to come in contact with the mo-
tor housing.
• Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
REPLACING THE FUSE
Before replacing the fuse, turn the fan off. Grasp the plug and remove it from the
outlet device. Do not unplug the fan by pulling on the cord. With the fan unplugged,
follow the steps in this diagram:
A.
A
Open the fuse cover by sliding the access cover on top of the attachment plug
towards the plug blades.
B
Remove the fuse carefully by gently pulling out the ends of the fuse from the re-
ceptacle. Replace the fuse with a fuse only of the same amps and volts.
C
Install the replacement fuse by first placing the end of the fuse into the fuse re-
ceptacle, which is opposite the blades of the plug, then carefully push in the other
end. Only push against the metal end of the fuse, not the glass portion.
D
Close the fuse cover by sliding the cover back into the plug until it latches in place.
Ensure it is completely closed.
Risk of fire: Replace the fuse with a fuse only of the same amps and volts.
Do not replace the plug that comes with your fan. It contains a safety device (the
fuse) that should not be removed. Do not use this product if the plug is damaged.
