Drill and fit rivnuts cont...
Before drilling the holes in the roof, you need to do a bit of prep. Take both the 4 & 9 mm drill bits. Using

some insulation tape, wrap a band of tape around the drill bit to act as a stopper to prevent you from
drilling too deep as there are airbags located below where you will be drilling.
D

)
Drill the 8 holes you marked earlier, starting with a 4mm pilot hole before going to the larger 9mm hole.
There is NO NEED for a lot of downward pressure. Let the drill do the work - your job is to keep the drill
steady - you don't want it slipping across your roof and scratching it!

Using a Rivnut Tool, insert a M6 Rivnut (Item 10) into each of the eight 9 mm holes drilled in Step 2D

Referring to Step 2A, place the various
sections of ditch moulding back into position
on the vehicle's roof. Place a Spacer (Item 2)
over each of the holes drilled in Step 2D.
Place the Foot Rails onto the Spacers, lining
up the holes in the base of the Foot Rails
with the center of the Spacers. The Product
Sticker goes to the front of the vehicle and
must face outwards.

Secure the Foot Rails to the vehicle using the M6 x 30 Hex Bolts, M6 Spring Washers and M6 x19 x 1 Flat
Washers (Items 6, 7, 8). Place some Silicone onto the thread of each Hex Bolt before fastening. Once
fastened, place a M6 Nut Cap (Item 5) over the head of each bolt.
