• Only place the device on flat and stable surfaces, away from cots and beds.
• Before connecting the power cable to the mains socket, ensure that the rating plate specifications regarding the power
supply and the supplied power cable plug are compatible with your power mains and the corresponding socket. The
rating plate of reference is located on the back of the product.
• Only use the supplied power cable.
• Connect the plug to a socket that is easily accessible by an adult only.
• To disconnect the device from the mains, unplug the power cable from the socket and only then disconnect the cable
from the main body of the device. Do not pull the cable or the device, if connected, to unplug from the socket.
• Always keep the power cable away from hot surfaces.
• Keep the power cable away from animals (for example, rodents) that might damage the insulation.
• The supplied cable is fitted with a protective gasket to prevent the penetration of liquids into the device. Do not sepa-
rate this gasket from the cable.
• Do not wash the device under running water or by immersion and protect it from water sprays or other liquids.
• The device is not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable anaesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide;
we recommend, therefore, not to use the device in premises where there are patients receiving home oxygen therapy,
also at home.
• Do not use the breast pump sets for purposes other than the expression of breast milk.
• Do not handle the device with wet hands. Do not use the device in damp environments (for example, while taking a
bath or shower). Do not immerse the device in water; in the event of immersion immediately disconnect the plug. Do
not remove or touch the device immersed in water; unplug the power cable first. Immediately take the device to an
authorised FLAEM service centre or to your trusted dealer.
• During use, ensure the kit is at such a distance from the main body to prevent it from falling.
• Never leave the product unattended while it is connected to a socket.
• Do not obstruct or introduce objects in the filter and its housing in the device.
• Never obstruct the air vents located on both sides of the device.
• Make sure there is no material obstructing the air vents before each use.
• Do not put any objects in the air vents.
• The device is fitted with an easy to inspect safety fuse in case of fault. Before doing so, unplug the power cable.
• Repairs, including the replacement of the supply cord, are to be carried out by FLAEM authorised personnel only, com-
plying with the information provided by the manufacturer. Unauthorised repairs void the warranty and may be haz-
ardous for the user.
• The average operating life of the compressor is 700 hours approximately.
• WARNING: Do not modify this device without authorisation from the manufacturer.
• The Manufacturer, the Dealer and the Importer shall be liable for safety, reliability and performance only if: a) the device
is used in compliance with the instructions for use b) the wiring of the premises where the device is used is in compli-
ance with safety regulations and current laws.
• The manufacturer must be contacted about any problems and/or unexpected events concerning operation and for any
clarifications on use, maintenance or cleaning.
• Interactions: The materials used in the medical device are biocompatible in accordance with the provisions of Directive
93/42 EC as amended. However, the possibility of occurrence of allergic reactions cannot be entirely ruled out.
• The amount of time required to switch from storage to operating conditions is approximately 2 hours.
• The suction kits are items for personal use and intended to be used by one person only. Mothers should not use other
mothers' devices.
• Do not perform expression for more than two consecutive sessions if no results are obtained
• In case of problems or pain, ask a breastfeeding specialist for advice
• Never use the device during pregnancy unless on prescription/recommendation of your doctor, since the expression of
milk may induce labour.
• For mothers suffering from hepatitis B, hepatitis C or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV): the expression of breast milk
does not reduce or eliminate the risk of transmission of the virus to the baby via the breast milk
• Never use devices, parts or components that are visibly dirty, contaminated by mould or other.
• Replace mouldy, damaged or worn components.
• Plastic bottles and caps become fragile if frozen and might break if they are dropped.
• Do not use the breast milk if the bottles or components are damaged.
