PREPARING THE BREAST PUMP
Before using the Latty breast pump for the first time, thoroughly wash all the components of the kit, as described in the
paragraph "Cleaning and maintenance".
Then assemble the breast pump as follows:
1. Connect the expression valve (C9) to the internal duct of the shield cap (C5), pushing it against the sides all the way,
so that it touches the base of the cap. Ensure that the two flaps of the valve are joined. In case they are crooked or
there is an obvious empty space, repeat the operation.
2. Screw the shield cap (C5) on the milk bottle (C1).
3. Assemble the diaphragm unit as follows:
a. Insert the diaphragm membrane (C8.2) in the lower diaphragm (C8.1), so that the socket of the outer rim of the
membrane completely covers the edge of the lower diaphragm.
b. Connect the upper diaphragm (C8.3) to the assembled components, pushing it all the way so that it seals the out-
side of the diaphragm membrane (C8.2).
4. Connect the assembled diaphragm system (14) by inserting the diaphragm fitting (C8.4) in the upper duct of the
shield cap (C5).
5. Insert the shield of the desired diameter (C2, C3 or C4) in the suitable housing of the shield cap (C5), as shown in the
picture.
6. Connect the expression connection tube (B) to the tube fitting housing (A5) on the main body (A) and to the tube
connection on the diaphragm (C8.5).
7. Only for size M: a soft silicone adapter is available that offers more comfort (only for size M, 27 mm). In that case, using
the 30 mm diameter shield (C4), apply the silicone adapter (C6) to the shield, inserting the internal cone all the way
and fitting the curved border on the edge of the shield, making sure that it fits around the entire perimeter.
8. Insert the assembled kit in the handy bottle holder (A6) while performing the following operations.
9. Insert the power cable (A8) in the suitable socket on the back of the product (A7).
10. Insert the plug of the power cable (A8) in a mains socket that is easily reachable by an adult.
11. Place the main body (A) on a flat and stable surface, at such a distance that the connection tube (B) is not pulled
during use.
