7 TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT
Adjustment Gear (7A) is factory-set to prevent stem from reaching full hot
position. To determine if factory setting is satisfactory, turn on valve and rotate
Stem (7B) counterclockwise to full hot and test. If not, remove Adjustment Gear
(7A) with valve at full hot setting. To adjust valve to a colder setting, rotate Stem
(7B) clockwise or counterclockwise to a hotter setting (Use a thermometer for
measuring). Pfister recommends a maximum temperature setting of 110°F
(43°C). Replace Adjustment Gear (7A) onto Stem (7B) by aligning the surfaces
of Valve Stop (7C) and Adjustment Gear Stop (7D) as shown. Once placed,
Stem (7B) should not rotate any further in the counterclockwise direction.
