11. BRAKING THE BACK WHEELS
Brakes can be applied to the two back wheels to stop
the vacuum cleaner from moving unexpectedly.
To apply the brakes, raise or lower the brake levers D
(Fig. 3).
To release the brakes, return the brake levers to their
central position.
12. CONNECTOR BETWEEN SUCTION NOZZLE
AND TOOL (Fig. 4)
This has been designed to connect the suction nozzle
to the dust extraction outlet of a power tool. It can
be connected directly if the outlet is Ø 32 mm, or a
section will need to be trimmed with care, if the outlet
is Ø 37 mm.
Keep the 32 mm trimmed piece, as if you need to connect
an outlet of this diameter, you can turn the trimmed
piece around and insert it into the 37 mm diameter,
until it hits the collar that was left.
13. FILTER SET-UP
13.1 DIAPHRAGM FILTER
The diaphragm filter E (Fig. 5) should be used
at all time, both for liquids and solids.
It is washable and includes an automatic shaking
element.
To remove or replace the diaphragm filter:
Ensure that the vacuum cleaner is unplugged.
Open the two side clips of the vacuum cleaner and
remove the lid of the tank.
Remove the diaphragm filter.
When replacing the diaphragm filter, ensure that it sits
correctly on the groove of the top edge of the tank and
forms a tight seal, and that the metal side of the shaker
is facing down.
Replace the lid of the tank and close the two clips.
13.2 MAIN FILTERS
The two pleated filters G (Fig. 6), or the two liquid filters,
are the main filters.
To remove or replace the main filters:
Ensure that the vacuum cleaner is unplugged.
Open the two side clips of the vacuum cleaner and
remove the lid of the tank.
Lift the lid of the tank and press on the seal H (Fig. 6)
of each of the filter holders to remove them from the
lid of the tank.
Replace the pleated filters or liquid filters that are fitted
in each filter holder with the new filters.
Place the prepared filter holders into the lid of the
8
tank. Ensure that they are correctly seated and pressed
down.
The vacuum cleaner must not be used
without the main filters.
Replace the lid of the tank and close the two clips.
If, when you use the vacuum cleaner,
dust comes out through the outlet port,
it means that at least one of the main
filters is either punctured or is not fitted
correctly into the filter holder or into the
lid of the tank.
Remove and replace the main filters for liquids, which
are also supplied with the vacuum cleaner, in exactly
the same way as the main pleated filters.
14. FITTING THE PAPER FILTER BAG
A paper bag filter should be fitted at all times except for
vacuuming liquids.
This is an easier way to get rid of collected dust, in an
environmentally friendly way.
Ensure that the machine is unplugged.
Open the two side clips and remove the lid of the tank.
Remove the diaphragm filter.
Fit the mouth of the bag to the connection inlet I (Fig. 7).
Situate the bag in such a way that it will open correctly
when the machine is working.
Re-insert the diaphragm filter
Put the lid on the tank and close the two side clips.

15. VACUUMING DRY MATERIALS

This vacuum cleaner must not be used
for the extraction of hazardous or toxic
substances such as asbestos. Its filters
are not capable of capturing all of the
particles and they would be re-released
into the atmosphere.
Before vacuuming dry materials, ensure that the two
main pleated filters G (Fig. 6), the diaphragm filter E (Fig.
5) and the paper bag filter have been fitted and the liquid/
dust switch D (Fig. 2) is in the lower dust position.
Ensure that the vacuum cleaner and the
diaphragm filter are clean and dry before
vacuuming dust, otherwise the mixture
could form dangerous clumps and cause
the vacuum cleaner to breakdown.
