IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Reusable Bipolar Cord,
Unitized Plug
Failure to follow these instructions will shorten
the useful life of this device.
This device is provided nonsterile and must
be cleaned and sterilized before use, including
initial use.
PRECAUTIONS
Leave cord loose. Do not secure cord.
Do not rest anything on the cord in the pack.
Visually inspect cord before each use.
Replace cord if there is any sign of deterioration
such as broken insulation or frayed wires.
This product is designed for use with bipolar
electrosurgical units only.
Do not use this bipolar cord at generator
power settings that exceed peak-to-peak RF
voltage of 400 volts. When using the generator
of the MALIS
CMC -III or the MALIS CMC-V Bipolar
®
Electrosurgical Generator, the maximum
allowable power settings are as follows:
• Coagulation: 150 MALIS Units
(50 watts) = 100 volts
• Cutting: 80 MALIS Units
(60 watts) = 90 volts
For other generators, refer to the instructions
for use to determine the maximum allowable
power settings.
Cleaning
After each use, wipe the bipolar cord with a
damp, soft cloth.
