Removing the disk drive carrier
Disk drives could be removed when system is off, but also when system is running
(Hot Plug). This only should be done in case of a disk failure. Do not pull out disks
during system is running, when there is no disk failure. Pulling out properly working
disk during system is up may cause data loss.
Press the handle lock.
Pull the carrier handle in your direction.
Pull out the carrier from the chassis.
To put the disk drive carrier back into the system push it in the drive bay as far
as possible. Then push the carrierhandle to lock the
carrier.
