Batery Recycling Informa�on for the European Union
Bateries or accumulators are labelled according to the European Parliament
Direc�ve 2006/66/EC on bateries and accumulators and waste bateries and
accumulators. The Direc�ve determines the framework for the return and
recycling of used bateries and accumulators as determined in the European
Union. This label is used on various types of bateries to indicate that they
should not be thrown away but recycled at the end of their useful life and
taken to a clean point, as s�pulated in this Direc�ve.
According to Direc�ve 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament, bateries and
accumulators are labelled to indicate that they should be collected separately
and recycled at the end of their useful life. The label also includes a chemical
symbol for the corresponding metals in the bateries (Pb for lead, Hg for
mercury and Cd for cadmium). Users of bateries and accumulators should
not dispose of them as unsorted municipal waste but should make use of the
collec�on framework available to customers for the return, recycling and
treatment of bateries and accumulators so that they know how to act on
them. The coopera�on of customers is important to reduce any possible
effects that bateries and accumulators could cause to the environment or to
health, due to the presence of hazardous substances.
Restric�on of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Direc�ve
Nuwa products comply with the requirements of Direc�ve 2011/65/EU on the
restric�on of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment ("modified RoHS" or "RoHS 2").
