Overheating Cut-Off
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that
will cycle OFF (0) should the heat of the dryer
exceed the optimum drying level, due to partially
blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event
that the appliance stops or releases only cool air
during use, turn the appliance OFF (0) and allow
it to cool down. Once the appliance cools, the
thermostat will automatically reset and usage
may resume.
Styling
• Always towel-dry hair to remove excess
water and smooth it with a comb or brush
to untangle. Styling hair will be faster if it is
slightly damp, not wet.
• Plug the appliance into an electrical outlet and
turn the temperature dial to LOW (I). Gradually
increase to a comfortable temperature.
• Using the Root Drying Concentrator attachment,
begin blow-drying and combing your fingers
through your hair, lifting sections and aiming
the concentrator at the roots. Continue until the
roots are dry.
• Remove the concentrator and attach the 32mm
curling barrel or the oval brush attachment (for
directions, see below and the illustrations).
• For best results, separate hair into manageable
sections.
• Holding the appliance vertically, clamp a 25mm
section at the ends and roll toward your crown.
For best results, spread hair across the barrel to
avoid overlap.
• Continue holding the appliance vertically until
hair feels dry. (If more drying is needed, repeat
with same section.)
• Lightly press the clamp to release hair and pull
the appliance downward to unroll the curl.
• Repeat until hair has been dried into bouncy
spiral curls.
• Turn the appliance off when styling is complete.
Styling tip: While hair is still clamped, twist the
temperature dial to COOL and hold for 10–15
seconds.
