Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
• Before cleaning or maintaining the unit, make sure that
it has been switched off and unplugged from the mains
socket. Then let it cool completely.
• Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid.
• Clean the unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that
no moisture gets inside the unit while cleaning it.
• Never use corrosive cleaners, wire brushes, abrasive scouring
pads or metal/sharp tools to clean your unit.
• Thoroughly dry the unit after cleaning it.
• Store the unit in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children
and pets.
• Wind the power cable around the cable storage compartment
on the bottom of the base.
Cleaning the filter
• Remove the filter from the spout.
• Rinse the filter with lukewarm water, then gently remove the
limescale deposits with a soft brush.
• Reposition the filter by pressing down to secure it in the spout.
It will only fit one way around.
Descaling
CAUTION
Descale the kettle regularly. Descaling intervals depend
primarily on the hardness of the water and the frequency
of use. Only use commercially-available descaling agents
and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
